August is a Wish Your Art Makes: This drawing video gives new meaning to the term “dark ride“!
It is that time of year again! For the month of August, all the videos will be filmed at a Disney Park! The video kicking off this magical month features Joe Foo with Emily as she tries to do a sketch while riding the Haunted Mansion in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
In keeping with the theme of Camp PencilPoint, we are removing the perfection from this drawing and embracing the glorious imperfect. Emily is basically drawing blind while on the ride. She also faces the distractions of loud noises and a constantly moving “doom buggy”. There is no way for Emily to draw a perfect drawing, but in this case, it is more about the journey than the destination.
Try your hand at a little blind drawing. It is a great little exercise of letting go and enjoying yourself. Draw a few characters and see where your drawing takes you. And please share your art to social media. Use #camppencilpoint so our artists can find it.
